Fun and Stress Free 3rd Birthday Party Ideas
It’s time to celebrate your toddler’s third birthday. They’ll soon be a preschooler, and you’ll be through the terrible twos. Kids adore birthday parties, especially when all of the gifts are personalized with their names. Of course, you want to organize a party that your child and their friends will love while not driving you insane.
Smash Cakes
Smash cakes are little, one-of-a-kind cakes made especially for the birthday boy or girl. They’re simply iced and intended to be eaten (or destroyed) by hand, making them ideal for birthday parties for babies and toddlers. You can purchase one from a local bakery or prepare one with their favorite tastes at home.
Party Activities
Parties for young children, like preschool, require structure to avoid chaos. If you’re throwing a party at a bounce house or a gym, the timing is already set, but it never hurts to have a picture book on hand for when the food is delivered.
Short activities should be planned for home parties to keep the gathering organized and interesting. After 45 minutes to an hour of activities, there will be refreshments, cake, and goodie bags.
Simple backyard games that kids like include sponge painting, a scavenger hunt, an obstacle course, and creating bubbles. You can also combine activities and group children into small groups with an adult leader.
Rotate them through the activities for roughly 15 minutes each. Finally, collect all of the children for a read-aloud. Before moving on to the dinner, books are a terrific way to calm the gathering down. It also allows the hosts to serve the food while the children are entertained.
