Before last spring, I’d never heard of Minecraft. My children are both over the age of ten, and I don’t watch a lot of children’s programming anymore. But, as his third birthday approached, my nephew stated that nothing but a do-it-yourself birthday party would suffice.
What is the appeal of Minecraft to children?
The key reason, in my opinion, is that this “sandbox” game allows them to engage their thoughts creatively, making things out of their wide imagination. Is it therefore safe for my children? If you ask me, I’d reply emphatically YES. Because it is usually suggested for youngsters aged 8 and up.
This clueless Aunt would surely be needed to help make his birthday so special. I was overjoyed to be able to grant all of Blaze’s birthday requests. So, in order to prepare for our little family gathering, I watched a few episodes and came up with some ideas for a fun party invitation card based on the program. Please take a look at these, to cut a long tale short.
