I recently arranged a Flower Crown Party for my girls’ birthday party. My objective was to organize a relaxed afternoon of making memories together over beautiful food, fun activities, and sweet memories. I’m already planning to do it again next spring because it was so much fun!
With the arrival of summer and Mother’s Day just around the horizon, here are some fun flower crown party ideas!
Party Decorations
Poppies, ranunculus, anemones, and a variety of greens were among the most lovely flowers we had.
When I host parties with activities, I always use the creative supplies as table centerpieces. Use the flowers from your crowns as a table decoration for a flower crown lunch. To make a temporary table runner, go to your local fabric store and look for coordinating cloth. My arrangement wasn’t flawless, but with all the blooms and texture, no one noticed!
The sweets were served in milk glass serving dishes and presented on a vintage dresser that was purchased for $20 at a garage sale. It turned out gorgeous after a few layers of coral pink paint! Paint’s power should never be underestimated!
I purchased gold embroidery hoops for my dessert backdrop and had a friend assist me in turning them into flower crowns. She cranked these up in no time, and they turned out precisely how I had envisioned! We used 4m clips and sticky wall tack to hang them on the wall.
It’s probably a good thing that flowers wilt when they’re not in water because it makes it easier to take them down after lunch. Breaking down parties is always a challenge for me. I guess I say the same phrase at every party, and I’d like to hang this on my wall!
Foods and Drinks
If you’re preparing a dessert buffet, keep the food and drinks to a minimum. I set up a beverage bar with two different sparkling fruit drinks and a fruit infused water for our flower crown meal.
Adding fresh fruit to your drink dispensers adds a nice touch and looks great! Freshly sliced watermelon, lemons, and berries were added to the mix.
Drinks can be served quickly and easily using colored paper straws and basic mason jars.
Simple sandwiches and tortilla wraps should be used to keep the food light. You can get as inventive as you like with the meats, cheeses, and other ingredients. Remember that ladies don’t eat in great numbers, so it’s better to serve less than a lot of food!
It’s never a bad idea to eat some fruit. Watermelon season has officially arrived in Seattle. A juicy watermelon is one of my favorite fruits since it adds so much color and texture to any meal!
Fruit kabobs are ideal since they may be prepared ahead of time and are quick to serve. The fruit kabobs were presented in an antique bread pan. The size was ideal!
